University projects: Spectre and Wochenplaner
These two projects came out of my studies at university. I study media informatics, and the semester projects allowed any object oriented programming language. Neither project became a long running hobby project, so the whole story sits in one post.
Spectre, a music visualizer
Spectre is a small music visualization program. It is powered by the FMOD Ex sound engine, and the GUI uses Qt. I was surprised how easy FMOD is to use and to combine with Qt. The project was part of the media subject in my second semester.

Two archives exist: spectre.zip and the source spectr_source.zip.
Wochenplaner, a weekly schedule manager
The tool manages a weekly schedule. The features include a printable schedule and a SQL database. The GUI uses Qt, because any object oriented language was allowed. The server is a simple Windows console application that runs as a CGI application on an Apache server with a MySQL database. The server code uses only the standard Windows libraries and the MySQL libraries from Visual Studio.

The project never went beyond that state, so no download and no source exists for it.
